The View Oceanside Grill In Nanaimo BC
We had eaten here shortly after the restaurant relocated to the Church Street location and were not impressed. BUT this evening was lovely! It was my father’s 83rd birthday and he wanted lobster – The View delivered. We shared two orders of calamari to start, it was tender and flavourful. Each of the five of us ordered a different entree and each one got rave reviews. Our server, Kean, was delightful and efficient, his warmth and humour added much to the evening! All around The View more than redeemed itself and will be a special occasion choice for our family going forward.
The View never disappoints, once an amazing experience. I made a reservation for my husbands birthday and they set us up at a romantic table with a view. The timing of our plates and the attention to detail by the servers and Chef are out of this world. A culinary experience like none other on Vancouver Island.
We came for a nice dinner out and was blown away by the atmosphere and service. Definable top notch. The food was hit and miss. The appetizer was incredible (seafood stuffed pasta shells) but the drinks and entrees left a little to be desired. I would go back but would not invest so much into the entrees.
